Water quality analysis – Nanocolor photometer

Name of equipment:

Water quality analysis – Nanocolor photometer

Purpose:

Nanocolor is a digital photometer suitable for universal use in water and waste water analysis. This instrument can be used in all types of application in the laboratory. Additional features are: processing of non-linear curves, storage of measurement results, warning for values outside the measuring range, sample identification, possibility of programming the user's own analytical procedures, etc.

Model, type, country of origin:

500 D, Macherey-Nagel, Germany

Technical characte-ristics:

Measuring range: 340 – 860 nm

Accuracy: ± 1 %

Graphic display: 128x64 pixel

Cuvettes: rectangular (10, 20 i 50 mm), round tubes (16 mm)

Dimension: 227x282x105 mm

Year of origin:  -

Method of
work:

This instrument uses Bar Code technology. Automatic, instant cuvette recognition by the built in laser scanner allows rapid, easy, routine analysis. The instrument calls up the testing method, sets the wavelength, makes the measurement and stores the result directly from the bar code on the side of each cuvette.

Department,
room, location:

Department for Textile Chemistry and Ecology, Colorimetry Laboratory, Savska cesta 16/9

Addition note:

The corresponding standards:

ISO 8245 – Water quality – Guidelines for determination of total organic carbon (TOC) and dissolved organic carbon (DOC)

ISO 6060 – Water quality – Determination of the chemical oxygen demand

ISO 5815 – Water quality – determination of biochemical oxygen demand after n days (BODn)
